AutoBlocks Precision Gantry Kits are fully assembled 3-axis Cartesian motion systems built for machine builders who want to move fast. Each kit arrives with AutoBlocks NEMA 23 Absolute Motors pre-mounted and everything needed to integrate into a machine – no motor selection, no sourcing separate components, no wiring a motion controller separately.

Connect to the Control Block via M12 cables, program all axes in AutoCode, and go. The motors’ built-in absolute encoders mean no homing routines at power-on and no encoder alignment – position is retained across power cycles.

Kit A — Up to 400 mm Y Travel

Kit A is designed for gantry applications with a Y travel of 400 mm or less. The dual-rail Y stage uses a rigid secondary support axis (non-motorized) to maintain gantry squareness without a second drive motor.

  • 3-axis gantry frame – X, Y, and Z axes with integrated linear motion guides and ball screw drives
  • AutoBlocks NEMA 23 Absolute Motors × 3 – pre-mounted, wired, and ready to connect via M12 cable
  • Secondary Y support axis (non-active) – rigid parallel rail that keeps the gantry square without a second motor

Kit B — 400–600 mm Y Travel with Active X′ Follower

Kit B is designed for gantry applications requiring Y travel from 400 mm up to 600 mm. A fourth motor drives an active X′ follower axis — the second Y rail is motorized and coordinated with the primary Y drive for rigid, high-span gantry motion.

  • 3-axis gantry frame – X, Y, and Z axes with integrated linear motion guides and ball screw drives
  • AutoBlocks NEMA 23 Absolute Motors × 4 – pre-mounted, wired, and ready to connect via M12 cable (includes active X′ follower motor)
  • Active X′ follower motorized axis – second Y rail driven by a coordinated fourth motor for stable wide-span gantry motion
  • Cable chains on all axes – cleanly routed cable management
  • Mounting brackets – for machine integration and rigid frame attachment

AutoBlocks Integration

Every axis connects to the Control Block via a single M12 cable – power and CAN communication in one connection. Program all axes simultaneously in AutoCode using the same 27-command language that runs every other axis in your machine. Coordinated XYZ motion, teach mode, and recipe management are all built in.

Motor: AutoBlocks AB-SM-23 (NEMA 23) – 1.26 Nm holding torque, multi-turn absolute encoder, integrated drive electronics, 24 VDC.
